Gardening Center

This is an ad banner that representing the Gardening Center. At this center you can come and buy a variety of flowers. They take very good care of them and always give them fresh water and mulch. Anytime you need a quick pick or beautiful bunch you can always rely on Gardening Center to help you.
In developing this ad banner I used Photoshop and Adobe Flash Professsional CS5.5, which is called Full Particle Animation using AS. In Photoshop I used the tools crop, color contrast, levels adjustment, vibrance, and burn tool. In Adobe Flash I used the align, oval tool, color mixer, convert to symbol, and selection tool.
I created this banner because it is spring and flowers are starting to bloom and many people like to come and buy flowers to plant in their yards or rather their gardens. I am posting this to my blog to give recognition to this company and support to promote them in progress. My audience for this ad banner is to all age and both make and female, anyone can get flowers and grow them or buy them for others.

Spanish Advertisement!

This is an advertisement for Spanish Club, promoting everyone to come and watch a flamingo dance and eat dulce de leche. This advertisement is for any age group, I used bright vivid colors to make it stand out more and seem more appealing. This club is very friendly and welcoming and by using the flowers it shows it is not a strict, determined group of people.
The tools I had used in Photoshop to create this ad were:
1. Drop Shadows- I used this for the logo and the title to make them pop out of the ad. more due to them being most important.
2. Font and Rotating.
3. Stamps- I used the flower stamps for the back ground to make the ad. seem more inviting and welcoming. I got the background stamps at Adobe Exchange.com.
4. Angling of the drop shadows.
5. Inner Shadowing- On the lettering "Spanish Club" on the bull's chest in the logo.

Spanish Club Logo

This bull logo communicates with the Spanish Club because it has the Spanish flag on its back and also they are Spainish culture is also known for bull fighting. I choose the colors I did because the red and yellow on a brown surface really makes it pop out and is very noticeable. The light colored background enhances the shadows that are placed behind the bull. I used a lot of shape form in this logo to show where the horns point and to define the muscles of the bulls chest and legs.

Perfect Body

I feel confident about my transform. This changes my perspective about magazine ads because knowing people can change the way anyone looks takes away the confidence of the society. People think we need to look skinny and blemish free to be accepted in the community. I think peoples view of the perfect body image is false because we all come in different shapes and sizes. Some of us can not become really skinny due to how our body is built. I think we all need to just be confident about ourselves and not worry about a perfect body becausee there is not one.
During my time using Photoshop to transform my face to Lauren Conrad, I feel I did best to match the skin tone and the position of the face. I matched the skin tone very well and made it as smooth as possible. I postioned the face good because her face is faced down and is a little dipped to the side. I could have improved on the makeup and messing around with eye color change. I feel I could work better with those because it may have changes the style of the picture or made the eyes pop out more.

A Day and a Life of Me.

After learning all about Photoshop, it really helped me to make my collage. I never really knew how to use Photoshop before I took this class. Photoshop can do a lot more than what I thought about transforming or editing a picture. Since I have learned about these techniques, I can make my photo look very professional and skilled. The elements I used are Angle and Framing. The picture of my two friends (girl and guy) is an example of angle and the middle picture is an example of framing due to the mirrors sides. In my collage I used cropping, drop and inner shadowing, photo merge, whiten teeth, and scale/rotate.
I used the tool cropping for most of my pictures. It eliminates a lot of negative space but not to much. Using drop and inner shadows on your photo, either pops your photo out or sinks your photo inward. I used the drop shadow on the picture of me to emphasize that the photo is sitting on top of all the others. Two other pictures have inner shadows to show they are behind all the others. I photo merged three pictures of the sky for the top background of the canvas. I also used teeth whitening for a couple of the pictures, I used the lasso tool and changed the saturation colors. I scaled/rotated the photos to make them look like they over lap and give that collage look.

Elements of Photography

In these three pictures below are elements of simplicity, lines, and angle:
Lines is shown in this picture by the combination of diagonal and curved lines.  Linear elements that are photographed diagonally are seen as more dynamic than those placed horizontally. The lines also show the depth of the valley due to the way the curve vertically.
The picture below is an example of simplicity, it basically means something so simple can be the main object due to the neutral background.
Picture below is an example of angle, the picture is taking at the feet to make the feet seem bigger than all the other objects in the photo, such as, the couch. Using different angles can make something look different in size, shape, or form.
